What Makes a Christian Hoodie Premium?
Fabric, GSM, fit, and print quality - the criteria we use when sourcing and the ones worth checking before you buy any hoodie.
GSM (fabric weight)
GSM measures grams per square meter - the heavier the number, the thicker and more structured the fabric. Most mass-market hoodies sit in the 280-340 GSM range and feel thin after a few washes. Our Cross Hoodie is 480 GSM heavyweight brushed fleece, among the heaviest weights available in faith-based apparel - it holds its shape instead of sagging.
Fit and construction
Drop-shoulder, slightly oversized cuts read as streetwear; boxy-but-fitted cuts read as a uniform. Check the shoulder seam placement and hem - a hoodie that's just "big" without intentional proportions usually wasn't designed, just upsized.
Interior finish
Brushed interior fleece (soft, slightly fuzzy to the touch) traps warmth and feels premium against skin. A flat, scratchy interior is a sign of a cheaper blank being dressed up with a print.
Print method
Archival inks and tonal embroidery hold up to repeated washing without cracking or fading. Cheap vinyl heat-transfer prints crack within a dozen washes - run a hoodie through a few wash cycles before judging quality, not just the first wear.
Hardware details
Custom matte tipped drawcords, reinforced stitching at stress points (cuffs, hem, pocket seams), and clean embroidery edges are small details that separate a considered piece from a blank with a print slapped on.
